Highway Care supply 7km of BarrierGuard on M23

Date: 14/10/2011

Highway Care Ltd has been chosen by main contractor Interserve to supply and install 7km of BarrierGuard to protect the workforce on a project to upgrade safety barriers on the M23 in West Sussex.

A 2.2 mile section of the motorway between the M25 and Gatwick Airport will see high tension cable barriers in the central reservation of the motorway removed and replaced with a new concrete barrier.

Craig Butterfield (TM Manger for Interserve) commented:  “On all aspects of this project Highway Care have proven themselves to be a very reliable and efficient supplier of temporary barrier, the installation took place over 4 shifts as scheduled which enabled us to keep to our project deadlines”

Highway Care’s BarrierGuard is easily installed, versatile and easily accessed and replaced.
The unique ‘QuickMount’ connector design allows installation of up to 300 metres of barrier per hour combined with delivery of up to 216m per load providing a competitive installation cost. BarrierGuard is versatile, available in 6 and 12 metre section lengths with special angle sections and with a gate system available it is also easily accessed. Impact damaged barrier sections are also quickly and easily replaced.
