Successful Transition to 2015 ISO Standards

Date: 12/12/2017

On the 30th November we successfully transitioned to ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015, after an intensive
3-day external audit by UKAS accredited DNV (Det Norske Veritas). In addition, our Health & Safety systems to OHSAS 18001:2007 were audited successfully during this time.

In 2015 the Quality (ISO 9001) & Environmental (ISO 14001) Standards were updated in a number of areas, specifically organisational context, leadership and risk based thinking. Together these areas, among others form the management system. The adoption of risk based thinking also means that the system is designed and implemented around the issues that really affect us and our business. It assists the business in identifying risks, managing those risks but also in identifying opportunities for business improvements.

In May 2018 we will undergo a full 4-day audit at Callow Hill to be re-certified under the new standards for a further 3 years. These systems are important as they enable us to positively improve and present our business for further opportunities. And as such, it is essential that everyone co-operates with and works to, the requirements of the systems to ensure continual improvement for our ongoing success.
